Kamika Philogen - Age 20
Kamika Philogene comes form the quaint west coast community of Colihaut, where Carnival art forms such as �Bande Mauvais� come to life. She is twenty (20) years old and was educated at the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School. As an avid reader, she harbors fond memories of the novel �The Wide Sargasso Sea�, written by Jean Rhys.
Her youthful energy is channeled into activities such as communicating and learning about diverse cultures. She is no rookie to competitions and currently holds the title of North Carnival Queen 2006.
There is an urgent need to remedy the problem of male underachievement in Dominica. In this regard, Kamika would like to be the first to introduce and manage a Finishing School for young men in Dominica. She is currently pursuing university studies in Business Management.
It is said that behind every successful man stands a positive woman, so Kamika encourages every woman to stand fast and strong as they continue to aspire.
