Dominica Student Association in Toronto
by: Thomson Fontaine

A group of Dominican students led by Laurelle JnoBaptiste are in the process of setting up a Dominican Student Association in Canada. Among the goals of the association is:
  • to educate prospective students on colleges and universities in Toronto and in Canada.
  • provide information on College life and share student experiences with prospective students.
  • upon arrival in Canada, students will meet with members of the association, and will be given an orientation of the city. This could include a tour of the transit system if one is not familiar with the system. The orientation will depend on the need and interest of the student.
  • helping in whatever way possible in ensuring that students make an easy transition to college life.
  • ensuring that students have the opportunity to excel academically by providing extra tutoring to students with problem areas. Hence, we need more senior students and graduates who are able to provide their time and knowledge.

If you live in Canada and want to be a part of this great effort, please contact Laurelle JnoBaptiste at: [email protected].

Let us continue to work hard to ensure the survival of our beloved Dominica.
