New Jersey, USA (TDN) -- In 2006 Kurt “King Tappa” Prince a US based Dominican Reggae artist established Project Book Bag with an aim to provide book bags and school supplies to students on the island of Dominica. Project Book Bag so far has donated school supplies to seven schools in Dominica, namely the Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary school in Marigot, the Belles, Bagatelle, Concord, Boetica, Sineku and Colihaut Primary Schools.

Supplies are acquired from book drives that are being held within the New Jersey area in the United States with the aim of collecting as much school material as possible. Project Book Bags plan is to yearly assist a primary school on the island of Dominica.

With this mind set and determination PBB’s plan is to conquer every primary school on the island, after which we may very well turn our attention to the secondary schools.

According to Prince, “the children are the future. By Gods will we will continue to do what we started. Give to the children to build their confidence and keep them interested in education. We can make a difference in a child’s life only if we try.

“If we neglect the children, we discourage them and they in turn result to negative things. Project book bag can't save all the children in the world but we are taking the initiative to provide the materials we believe that would help the children prepare for the future,” he added.

You too can make a difference by helping us provide those necessary tools. Let’s help make a difference in the life of the children. God bless you all.
