Dr. Irving Pascal and Angelo Allen;
Weapons of Mass Self-Destruction
by Yvor Nassief
 It was brought to my attention before Dr. Pascals article that I used Sambo incorrectly and that Nat was the correct term. I concede the point.
Having corrected me, Dr Pascal misdirects his newfound zeal for administering antidotes.
Angelo Allen and his cohorts have for several months now been calling everyone they disagree with house-niggers and those they agree with, field- niggers. Dr. Pascal has kept silent and only found his voice when I came along and rubbed their noses in their own language.
All I have done is to throw back in their faces the stereotypes they peddle daily, albeit in a less crude form- Uncle Tom instead of house-nigger.
Is Dr Pascal saying that it is ok when people of African decent wield these stereotypes and engage in self-destruction?
Dr Pascal says Angelo Allen is refreshing. Well, one night after several months of blasting me, Angelo Allen said that I would not go back to wherever the hell I came from- Iraq, Syria or Lebanon, because they would behead me.
My 11-year-old son was already in bed and I called him out to share in the laughter. I have no problem with what Angelo Allen says.
It is amazing, if not Uncle Tomish (oops, pardon the stereotype Doctor), that when I challenge Angelo he is like a moo-moo and has nothing to say to me. That is what my article took issue with, not so much what he says.
Dr. Pascal seems more consumed with showing us his knowledge than addressing the issue. He says, Sambo was never internalized. I am aware of that hence in my article I wrote This dual personality was a clever and deliberate mask to survive and beat the system. In no way does this suggest there was internalization.
Dr. Pascal says, Sambo and Uncle Tom were only two of several stereotypes. Nassief deliberately chose not to mention this fact. My article was not meant to be nor did it pretend to be a dissertation on slave personality types or behavioral adaptations so I do not understand the relevance of that comment.
Dr Pascal is knowledgeable on matters of Africa, slavery and the Diaspora. We have discussed these issues before. I am delighted to no end that I have brought him out of the closet.
The country would be a lot better of hearing from him more often. But if he is so concerned about the collateral damage caused by these stereotypes, he is addressing the wrong person.
Nature abhors a vacuum and when men like Dr. Pascal keep quiet the moo-moos and bums like Angelo take over.
It is clear from Dr. Pascals article that he, like Angelo Allen, views me as a racist. One so accused can never really defend against such accusations. Suffice it to say that it is always good to know how individuals, who you thought dealt with you above board, really feel about you.
May the ancestors not lose sleep over their children fighting and condemning their brethren as house-niggers, all in the name of politics.
