Dominican-American film maker Wyatt Bardouille will discuss her latest documentary film Dominica: Charting a Future for Paradise on TDN radio and Q95 FM “This Week in Interview” on Wednesday March 7, 2012 from 8 – 9 P.M (Eastern Caribbean Time).
The film documents the struggles and travails of the stunningly beautiful Nature Isle of the Caribbean as its people attempts to overcome the challenges posed by its rugged topography, limited resources and a stagnant population.
In 2008, as the country celebrated 30 years of Independence from Great Britain, thousands of overseas based nationals traveled to the country of their birth for an unprecedented and extraordinary nationwide reunion. It was a time for nationals both local and abroad, to reflect on past struggles and achievements and share a vision of their future.
The film is said to capture the essence of Dominica, planted in its deep cultural roots and a people committed to a sustainable development linked to progress in ecotourism, renewable energy, and agriculture.
Bardouille will discuss her latest work with host Thomson Fontaine as she describes the making of a film that is already being touted as one of the most important documentaries about the Nature Isle of the world.
