Hunter and Scrunter out of calypso finals

Twenty-one top calypsonians fought it out in the semi finals of the 2012 Carnival season in what turned out to be a tightly contested competition at the Carnival City in Pottersville.
At the end of the evening, nine were left standing and will go on to face reigning calypso monarch Tasha P at the grand finals slated for February 18, 2012 at the same venue.
The nine finalists are newcomers Vigilante with his mega hit Everything Back to Front and Checko, along with Dice, Karessah, Bob, Webb, Explosion, Sye, and Soul Puss.
Veterans and former kings Scrunter and Hunter did not go through.
