Dominica establishes diplomatic relations with The Philippines

The Philippines and Dominica have established diplomatic relations, according to the Phillipine Department of Foreign Affairs.
Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Libran N. Cabactulan, and Ambassador Vince Henderson, Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of Dominica to the United Nations recently signed a joint communiqué establishing formal diplomatic ties.
Cabactulan told Ambassador Henderson that he looks forward to mutually-beneficial relations between the Philippines and Dominica not only at the government level but through people-to-people exchanges as well.
In response, Henderson expressed hope that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries would provide an opportunity to explore areas of mutual interest and deepen cooperation between the two countries.
