Hundreds Bid Farewell to Pattison Stevens

President of Dominica, His Excellency, Dr. Nicholas Liverpool, Prime Minister, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit and Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Alix Boyd Knights, were among hundreds of mourners who gathered at the Zion Methodist Chapel in Marigot on Friday afternoon to pay their final respects to the veteran politician, agriculturist and commentator, Mr. Pattison Stevens.
 At the Official Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Mr. Pattison Stevens, the Remembrance was delivered by close friend of the deceased, Ambassador of Dominica to OECS and CARICOM, Mr. Charles Maynard. The Homily was conducted by Reverend William Wilberforce Watty. The Old Testament reading was read by Mr. Rohan Stevens, son of Mr. Pattison Stevens.
Mr. Pattison Alexander Strathmore Stevens was born on December 15, 1934 and died on August 19, 2006. He served in Parliament from 1973 to 1975 as Parliamentary Representative for the North Eastern Electoral District. From 1975-1990, he served as Parliamentary Representative for the Marigot Constituency.
