Budapest, Hungary (TDN) —- Kasai and Eilomedia Hungary Kft. announce the release of his debut CD EVERY WORD on December 12, 2011. The Album features eight original tracks and a brand new locally recorded track entitled Rainbow (this easily could have been the album’s title track); Rainbow (track 6) is quite a departure from the singer’s signature jazz influenced writing style in that it’s almost pseudo country.

Kasai was born in Castle Bruce Dominica, West Indies. With the influences of two guitar playing uncles and a grandmother who sang constantly while gardening or doing chores, a career in music was a natural choice for him.
At age 9 (two years after moving to the U.S. Virgin Islands) Kasai started classical piano lessons at the urging of a church elder who recognized the youngster’s naturally gifted singing ability. By high school he became interested in Jazz and other genres of music, and began to develop a reputation as an ”in demand” keyboardist.
While in high school Kasai was awarded a music scholarship to Lee College (Baytown,Tx.) and quickly caught the attention of local musicians and music educators. He was awarded the ”Best Pianist” award at the G.C.I.C. Jazz festival in Brazosport, Tx (1987) and a year later, the ”Musician Of The Year” award by the Baytown Tx. chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. (1988).
However, it was while under the tutelage of world renowned pianist and educator Shelton Berg, that Kasai’s playing skills began to truly blossom. (San Jacinto College, Pasadena Tx.) Together with the school’s award winning Jazz Ensemble, Kasai performed at Carnegie Hall in 1988.
His professional career began as a studio session keyboardist in Central Florida (Orlando) for award winning songwriter Mickey Carroll (The whispers), Grammy award winner and guitarist for the Commodores Thomas McClary, as well countless productions/performances with established artists including Thomas Dolby.
While working mainly as a keyboardist in Orlando, Kasai became musical director of the Broadway show ”Once On This Island” and of a locally written and produced ”A little Moonlight” (a theatrical production depicting the life and trials of the late Jazz singer Billie Holiday).
In November of 2000, Kasai announced his first commercial release as a recording artist (Every Word) on Divi Records. Broadband Talent mentioned the release with very favorable reviews in the September 2000 issue of Billboard magazine.
Three months after his solo debut, Kasai1s career was abruptly disrupted with the sudden decision to move to Budapest, Hungary for personal/family reasons. Needless to say, that was a difficult time.
After accepting the fact that his career had to be put aside, Kasai started privately learning Hungarian while teaching English at several Budapest language schools. Though he had no desire to perform during those years, he remained determined to stay close to the music world.
He approached Warner Music and was given his first job as producer by former Warner Music Hungary executive Pásztor László in August of 2001. Subsequently he went on to write and/or produce such artists as Voga Viki, Aádok Zoli (2009 Eurovision Song Contest) Csézy, Rami, Ivan etc.
Now 11 years after putting his own career aside Kasai has once again come full circle with his life and music and has re-released his debut album ”Every Word” on December 12, 2011 in Budapest, Hungary.
The Album is slightly different from the original in that there are no covers on the CD this time around. The Original track number 6 (a Gospel rendition of Bob Marley’s ”No Woman no Cry”) has been replaced with a beautiful ”Americana” type feel-good track entitled ”Rainbow”.
For lovers of pure good music this album is an absolute must have!"
