 Dominican Named New York Businessman of the Year

Dominican businessman Roy Casey has been named New York Businessman of the year by the Republican National Committee.
Casey who is the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Nu Business Image in New York City was informed of his selection by Majority Leader Tom Delay of the US Congress.
With his selection, Casey will serve as an honorary Chairman for New York in the Republican Party Business Advisory Council.
In his letter to Mr. Casey, the Majority Leader noted � As Chairman of the Business Advisory Council I want to personally thank you for agreeing to serve as an Honorary Chairman for New York.
Your input and your support will be critically important to us as we strive to move this country, and particularly tax policy and the economy, in the right direction. In the coming months you will be invited to meetings in Washington to meet with Members of Congress and other high ranking officials. You will also be invited to our VIP Dinners and other social functions, including the President�s Dinner.�
Already, Mr. Casey has been invited to the Republican National Committee Congressional Tax Summit scheduled for March 17 � 18, 2003 where the President�s Economic Recovery Plan will be discussed. Also on March 17, 2003 there will be a Businessman of the Year Award Reception and Dinner where Mr. Casey will be officially recognized and at which US President George Bush will be present.
A letter addressed to Mr. Casey from the Republican National Committee stated: � In 2002, American businesses faced a roller-coaster ride. As one of our Businessmen of the Year you distinguished yourself as a leader who stood strong in the face of adversity and kept America moving. Your willingness to share your expertise on tax cuts, economic growth and decreasing government regulation with the Republican Leadership gave us the edge needed to forge a true working partnership between business and government�.
Nu Business Image is a retailer of office supplies, and Mr. Casey is looking to expand his business interests in the country of his birth, Dominica.
